DP World Yarimca has smashed its own container handling record on one single vessel with 9.617TEU being loaded and discharged in a 4-crane operation within 63 hours.
The new record is nearly 50 % higher than the average vessel call size at the port and took place when the 19,462TEU ‘MSC INGY’ vessel docked at the Container terminal.
The record was made possible due to the increased capacity of the DP World Yarimca terminal following significant investment in recent years, with 4 cranes completing 140 moves at a rate of 35 moves per crane per hour
